The Business, Entertainment & Law Council (BEL) of the Century City Chamber of Commerce will present the forum “The Business of Entertainment: Keeping It Reel … Local” on Tuesday, March 18 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at Ray Kurtzman Theater at CAA (2000 Avenue of the Stars).
The program brings together industry insiders and City Officials representing city, state and local interests to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing film and television, with a focus on keeping production in California and the Los Angeles area.
Speakers include FilmL.A.’s President Paul Audley as Moderator; Los Angeles City Councilmembers and former Assemblymembers Paul Koretz and Paul Krekorian; Deputy Film Czar Rajiv Dalal; Producer of the Transformers franchise Allegra Clegg; Location Manager and Location Managers Guild of America Board Member Mike Fantasia; Directors Guild of America Associate Executive Director for Government and International Affairs Kathy Garmezy; California Film Commission Executive Director Amy Lemisch; and Motion Picture Association of America Vice President of State Government Affairs Melissa Patack.
