Early U.S. feminists and anti-slavery movement leaders paved the way for women’s suffrage won in 1920. The Civil Rights Movement achieved passage of the Voting Rights Act in 1965, enforcing Blacks’ right to vote.
Radical Women’s annual commemoration of women’s suffrage will feature a discussion about how the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision to overturn key provisions of the Voting Rights Act will impact African American voters and other people of color.
