The Buddha Play written and performed by Evan Brenner and
directed by John C. Reilly will play in Los Angeles for two days only as part of Against the Stream’s fifth anniversary’s celebration.
Against the Stream: The Buddhist Meditation Society is proud to present the only two Los Angeles area performances of this remarkable one-man show which presents the life of Buddha in his own words. Here is a theatrical opportunity to learn about the evolution of his thoughts, his triumphs, and the rarely portrayed tragedy at the end of his life – all told from the original texts woven together to create an entertaining theatrical experience.
As a special treat, Evan Brenner, the author and star will participate in a question and answer session along with
Against the Stream: The Buddhist Meditation Society’s Noah Levine after each performance.
