VCA West Los Angeles invites the public to a fun-filled and pet-focused day of activities at its newly-opened animal hospital on Saturday, March 16, 2013 12:00pm to 6:00pmat its new hospital, 1900 South Sepulveda Boulevard, just a few blocks south of its current location, which houses Housing state-of-the-art treatment equipment, and provides parking for over 230 vehicles, the 42,000 sq. ft. facility is the largest and most technologically advanced small-animal hospital in the western United States.
The fun-filled day will include tours of the state-of-the-art facility, the opportunity to meet the hospital’s professionals plus authors Laura Numeroff (If you Give a Cat a Cupcake) and Kyra Sundance (101 Dog Tricks). Working animals including SPCALA’s “DART” search and rescue response team, California Rescue Dog Association’s (CARDA) volunteer search dog teams and the LAPD K-9 Unit will also be on hand.
Other ‘Animal Ambassadors’ will be available to meet and greet including those from Animal Encounters, providing agility demonstrations, as well as more exotic varieties from STAR ECO Station Environmental Education & Exotic Wildlife Rescue Center.
