Chief of Medicine at the John Wayne Cancer Institute at Saint John’s Health Center and co-founder of the California Oncology Research Institute Anton Bilchik, MD, PhD, FACS, will present “Frankly Speaking about Cancer: Colorectal Cancer†from 7:00pm – 8:30pm on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Cancer Support Community-Benjamin Center, 1990 South Bundy Drive, Suite 100 in West Los Angeles.
This program will provide support, education and hope to people affected by colorectal cancer and their loved ones. Learn about the most current colorectal cancer treatments, side-effect management strategies, social and emotional challenges of the diagnosis and survivorship issues specific to people with colorectal cancer.
Dr. Bilchik has received numerous awards and accolades. He has been honored by the American Cancer Society, the American College of Surgeons, the Israel Surgical Oncology Society and has been listed as one of “America’s Top Surgeons†for ten years in a row. Dr. Bilchik serves on the editorial boards of many peer-review journals and currently serves on the board of directors of the Southern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
