Sneak a peak at an in-progress work about a little English girl who doesn’t quite fit in by one of the a new voices in the L.A. storytelling scene and be amongst the first to experience this new solo play by British storyteller, stand-up comic, and actor/playwright Claire Thomasina J. at the Santa Monica Playhouse, 1211 4th Street (between Wilshire & Arizona), in Santa Monica.
J. wrote, produced and starred in two short films – Colour Me Beautiful and The Secret Child of Shanti – that were devised entirely from improvisation. They have been screened in London and Dublin. J. performs regularly as a storyteller in Los Angeles and as a stand up comic at the Hollywood Improv and the Comedy Store.
Directed by Deana Barone. Barone curates and directs the multi-genre storytelling show: The Trunk Show, tells stories, and does experimental and traditional theatre all around Los Angeles. She is currently developing her own one woman show, The Little Girl and Lalu, as well as a pilot and a screenplay. She also writes for the stage, tutors, edits, dances, and does energy work.
