Neurofibromatosis was first reported by Dr. Friedrich Von Recklinghausen in 1882 and as a result this disorder — now classified into three distinct types: NF1, NF2 and Schwannomatosis — was known as Von Recklinghausen’s Disease.
Those afflicted with Neurofibromatosis suffer from tumor growth, learning disabilities, pain, bone dysplasia and other life altering maladies. Sadly, there is neither a cure nor effective course of treatment… yet.
The NF Walk will take place at CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Avenue in Studio City starting at 8:00am followed by a walk and lots of family fun including: live music by Experience Neil Young in Concert, Starring Dennis Neil, as well as Styx and Stones Band Rated G, kid activities, a doggie fair and a special pooch parade called “Krewe of Barkus,” as well as a Canines in Costume.
There will be a raffle and silent auction with many fabulous prizes including:
