Italy won the Gold Medal in Water Polo at the FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China last July. Then Team USA edged past Italy and Canada to win the Holiday Cup this February. Now both teams are on their way to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and will face off here in Los Angeles against water polo rivals from Montenegro and Germany in the Four Nations Cup on March 23, 24 and 25.
Italy will play all three days of this event on the campus of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. The March 23 contest against Team USA begins at 5:30. On March 24, Italy faces Montenegro at 2:30 and Team USA takes on Germany at 4 pm. On March 25, the program is Italy vs. Germany at 2:30 followed by Team USA vs. Montenegro at 4 pm.
