I love traveling just as much as I despise it. Oh believe me, these two emotions are not mutually exclusive. It’s terrific to be able to see so many different places, different cultures and foods. I happen to be someone that even takes note of differences in cellular phone coverage. It’s amazing to visit some places that are so different from what I’m used . . . it’s like going back in time to another world that doesn’t resemble mine. It’s always a relief to get back into my own comfy bed when I’m done visiting.
Packing for traveling is akin to trying to forsee your future and preparing for any and every contingency that life may bring. How can I possibly predict everything I may need in the next ten days of my life? Ten days away from my home while trying to maintain at least some of my usual home-life activities. Good luck with that one, Karl. Inevitably I’ll cram two bags full of electronics and batteries, cameras, computers and any other of my “comfort items.”” I prudently leave the clothing nightmare part of packing to my wife. Thank goodness for her.
Airplane Travel just never seems to get easier. Back in the day
