The celebration, held in honor of the Kentucky Derby, will start at 9:00am with an “Early Bird†continental breakfast during which attendees may also browse around, and bid on, over 100 silent auction items, featuring gourmet wine/food baskets, stays at Marriott Hotels, and sporting event tickets for the LA Dodgers, LA Lakers and more. Special private event windows will be available throughout the day featuring simulcast, pari-mutual wagering.
A sumptuous lunch buffet featuring dishes from many community restaurants and food vendors will be offered later in the day when the “Kentucky Derby†will be broadcast on numerous large screen TVs throughout the Terrace/Patio area.
Festivities will conclude with a raffle drawing offering as first prize a trip to Hawaii along with several other wonderful items.
The entire day costs only $50 per person (proceeds donated to the SMA Scholarship Fund). Payment must be received by April 21st and can be made on line at www.smabelles.org/derbyday.
