Theresa Peña has appeared on stage with artists like Rob Base, Montell Jordan and Lady Gaga, and can be seen in commercials for companies like Toyota and the Interscope Record Label. She has worked closely with “So You Think You Can Dance” favorite Legacy, collaborated on choreography for Tiffany Dunn, LXD (Legion of Extraordinary Dancers), Stussy and more.
This month, Peña is working with the world-famous L.A. Breakers and Krumpers from Xtreme Movement to stage a sci-fi battle for Helene Federici’s latest electronic opera, “ET Mostavy.”
This short-form electronic opera tells the story of a broadcast journalist struggling to cover opposing sides of a intergalactic conflict. As the production’s Movement Director she will direct the movement of freestyle dancers, allowing her to fulfill her vision while also enabling allowing the dancers to create their own moves.
“ET Mostavy” is one of two musical theater productions that are part of Theatrefication, the event that will off the City of Los Angeles’ “Broadway 100” celebration.
