Raise a Glass to a “Simply diVine!†Evening of Indulgence

The sight: a quaint, boutique-lined cobblestone path nestled in the chic Beverly Hills shopping district. The sound: the clinking of glasses. The smells: wafting aromas hinting at a smorgasbord of sweet and savory delectables. And the tastes—oh, the tastes!—haute cuisine from the city’s hottest restaurants and premium wines from the most popular wineries in California and beyond.

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s “Simply divine: A Summer Soirée for the Senses†on Saturday, August 21, is a decadent outdoor evening set at the scenic Two Rodeo Drive, where guests will sip, sample and savor beneath a blanket of stars.

One of the chefs serving up this celebration of food, wine and spirits is celeb chef Susan Feniger, who owns participating restaurants STREET, Border Grill and Ciudad. Feniger serves as event co-chair alongside fellow Center board member David Bailey.

“Sampling fabulous food, sipping fine wine and celebrating with friends—it’s the perfect way to spend a warm Los Angeles summer evening,†says Feniger, whose many television appearances include a turn on Top Chef Masters earlier this year.

Participating restaurants include 8 oz., AOC, The Bazaar, Beechwood, Jar, Josie and Umami Burger.

An exclusive VIP Tasting prior to the main event offers 50 guests a chance to sample fine wines in the exclusive Wilshire Room at McCormick & Schmick’s. VIP guests will also enjoy reserved seating at the main event.

“On a night that’s all about decadence, the VIP reception is the perfect way to deepen your indulgence and sip some of the finest—and often hard-to-find—wines,†Bailey says.

Simply diVine includes an extensive silent and live auction featuring travel and restaurant packages, fine wines and more. All proceeds from Simply diVine benefit Center programs and services.

Simply diVine is presented by Wells Fargo. Silver sponsors include US Bank and Keller Williams.

Tickets for general admission are $125 until July 25 and $150 after that. VIP Wine Tasting tickets (limited to 50 guests) are $500. For more information about Simply diVine—or to purchase your tickets—go towww.simplydivinela.org or call 323-993-7638.
