Brentwood Alumnus Becomes Conservative Blogger

Andrew Breitbert, the son of a former Santa Monica restauranteur (Fox and Hounds), is rapidly becoming one of the most powerful right-wing exponents on the Internet. A graduate of Brentwood School, Breitbert spent 15 years as a gopher and reporter for Matt Drudge, founder of the controversial right-wing Drudge Report.
After Drudge, Breitbert graduated to Arianna Huffington’s Huffington Report in 2004, which morphed from conservative to liberal, which caused him to quit to start his own “big conservative Internet site.†Breitbert became an instant ultra right-wing hero when he uncovered a scandal at Acorn, a liberal organization dedicated to lobbying for affordable housing.
One thing led to another, and Breitbert became a “tea party†favorite when he introduced Sarah Palin to the international convention in Nashville and, according to Newsweek, he now looks upon himself as the new media “David†versus the old media “Goliath.â€
An Internet ranking service ranks Breitbert 24th on their list of the top 100 sites. The Huffington Post is number one.
