Greg Mortenson’s work, chronicled in ‘Three Cups of Tea’ and ‘Stones into Schools’, has changed the lives of thousands of girls in Afghanistan and Pakistan through providing them access to education, and he is now giving us hope that MOSTE can change the lives of girls here in Los Angeles through the same mission.
MOSTE is a grassroots, all volunteer non-profit that works with girls in LA’s most underserved areas. Through one-on-one mentoring and skills workshops, we’ve created a college access program that changes the lives of these girls by giving them hope for their future.
Greg Mortenson believes in our organization and has so kindly agreed to speak at two of our fundraisers on April 8th.
Our 10th Annual Lanterns Award Luncheon will be held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles from 11:30 – 1:30. Tickets are $85 and include lunch.
In addition, we are hosting an Intimate Evening with Greg Mortenson later that night at The Grammy Museum from 5:30 – 8:30. This very small event will allow people to personally meet and speak with the man that has changed the lives of so many. Tickets are $175 and include appetizers plus beer and wine on the Target Terrace.
100% of the proceeds from these events go towards helping Los Angeles girls create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available at Brown Paper Tickets (https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/97723) or at www.MOSTE.com.
Your support helps our community become a safer, healthier place for all.
