In celebration of its first 25 years changing lives through jobs, Chrysalis will bring together corporate and community leaders to pay tribute to individuals and corporations whose philanthropic efforts embody the Spirit of Chrysalis and help make Chrysalis’ important work possible.
Chrysalis is dedicated to helping the poor and homeless become self-sufficient through employment opportunities. Located on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Pacoima, Chrysalis employment programs help over 2,300 men and women each year transition from poverty, regain their dignity and radically change their lives through jobs. Though in 2009 they have had 40% more clients than in 2008, they continue to maintain their 80% success rate!
This year’s quarter century event will honor Chrysalis founder John Dillion.
The festivities will feature a cocktail reception, live and silent auction and award ceremony, raising much-needed funds to help Chrysalis continue to change lives through jobs.
