WHAT: Under the auspices of the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles, the BASTILLE DAY LOS ANGELES FESTIVAL 2009 promotes the French heritage and culture, and celebrates the undying ties between French and American citizens. In France, Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille in 1789, marking the beginning of the French revolution.
In its eight year, this event promises to be one of the city’s best cultural events, with all-day festivities, spectacular live entertainment, international music, dance, food and wine from France.

MORE: As always the Bastille Day Festival 2009 will feature a variety of entertainment including: a Parisian Waiters Race, street performers, Tahitian dancers, a Petanque Tournament, scenic and portrait painters, comedians, singers, dancers and a host of surprises amidst a delightful French setting of market vendors and sidewalk cafés.
