Daniel Pink
John Hutson Memorial Guest Lecture Series

Daniel Pink is a best-selling author and an expert on innovation, competition, and the changing world of work. Published works include The Adventures of Johnny Bunko: The Last Career Guide You’ll Ever Need (told in Manga, the Japanese comic book format), A Whole New Mind, and Free Agent Nation.

His articles on work, business, and technology appear in many newspapers and magazines—including The New York Times, Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, and Wired, where he is a Contributing Editor. Dan has provided analysis of business trends on CNN, CNBC, ABC, NPR, and other networks in the < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />U.S. and abroad. As an independent business consultant, he’s advised start-up ventures and Fortune 100 companies on recruiting, innovation, and work practices.

A free agent himself, Dan held his last real job in the White House, from 1995 to 1997 as chief speechwriter to Vice President Al Gore. He has also worked as an aide to United States Secretary of Labor Robert B. Reich, an economic policy staffer in the United States Senate, a legal researcher in India, and a latrine builder in Botswana.

5 6 7 8 ……. AGAIN! A Chorus Line is the Brentwood School Upper Division Musical.It will perform two weekends in March. Auditions are currently underway with afternoon rehearsals which will not begin until January. This way, students will know their commitments and be able to plan. Over 60 students worked at the dance auditions last week, and now they move on to the singing phase of the audition. It has been an intense and exciting time. Look for more information as we get closer to the new year!
