Andrea Syrtash will be the featured expert at Shecky’s Girls Night Out on Monday, May 20th from 5-10pm at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, 1855 Main Street, Santa Monica.
Andrea will be sharing her advice and insights as written in her book, HE’S JUST NOT YOUR TYPE (And That’s a Good Thing)
She says that the reason so many women struggle to find love and make relationships work is not that “he’s just not that into you.†It’s that He’s Just Not Your Type. And her focus is not that a woman has to change herself to find the right guy, she has to know herself.
In a survey she conducted with OKCupid.com, Andrea Syrtash found that over half (51%) of women said they would not date a shorter man. Unlike some recently published authors on this topic, Syrtash says women should never settle when they settle down. But, she encourages women to question the ideas they’ve grown up with about “the kind of man†they’re supposed to marry and challenges them to revise their checklist for love by getting rid of the superficial elements (looks, money, background) in favor of deeper connections (passions, core values, must haves/can’t stands).
Syrtash explains that she’s witnessed this phenomenon countless times with her clients, who often complain that when they finally meet their “Mr. Right,†in reality he is Mr. Wrong. The truth is their “Non-Type†might just be their perfect match. And her personal story reflects this – she’s happily married to her own Non-Type.
