as sounding like “a young Menuhin” and by the LA Times as “the virtuosic, resplendent-toned soloist…unraveling convoluted passage work with an effortless musicality.”
CSQ’s 1st violinist Katia Popov is a winner of multiple international competitions. Recent reviews of her performances boasted that “Popov’s musical voice was powerful, rich and full of life, her technique flawless and delicately exact.” Popov was recently appointed concertmaster of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, making history as the first female concertmaster since the orchestra’s inception.
