Growth Capital Conference (gcc2000.org) will host the next in its ongoing series of entrepreneur-meets-funder conferences Thursday, January 28, at the Olympic Collection at the corner of Olympic and Sawtelle, just west of the 405.
The event starts with breakfast at 7:00 a.m.; entrepreneur presentations begin at 7:30 a.m.; a panel of angel, VC and legal advisers will weigh in on the presentations; the conference will conclude by 10 a.m.
Six deals will be presented January 28:
- A successful film producer, specializing in horror films;
- A dramatic mall development defined by sight, smell, taste, touch and sound (catering to the younger generation);
- An educational and entertainment system that targets major hospitals, especially with respect to chronic health issues, e.g., obesity, cardiovascular and pulmonary;
- A new “all-in-one” news and information site that helps consumers cope with “information overload”;
- A company that is acquiring retail outlets and a rapid pace; and
- A mobile sharing platform geared toward fashion brands.
Growth Capital Conference has been hosting these events for many years now. These gatherings cater to those seeking capital and those seeking out new deals in which to invest.
Several deals presented at the conference have been funded over the years. GCC offers a great opportunity to network and keep up on new developments in the field of entrepreneurial finance.
