WOMEN OVER 40 ROCK

The Women at In The Trenches Productions Rock

Claire Callaway, Brentwood resident since 1986, loves the area so much that she established her company here. Besides being a long time board member of the Mandeville Canyon Association, Claire is also CEO of In The Trenches Productions. This company has the distinction of being the first entertainment website for women over 40 – and there are a few of us here, are there not?

Women Over 40 Rock! That’s what the In The Trenches women believe and they’ve got a dynamic website to prove it. The website is a place to drop in and get a laugh, pick up a useful tip or watch an entertaining short film.

Continuing original series on the site include TRANSITIONS, which spotlights women who, in their middle years, changed the direction of their lives; MOVIE SNACKS shares favorite movies and snacks to go with them; WELCOME TO MY GARDEN visits amateur gardeners who have transformed their yards. There are also short films, webcam rants, and blogs. Bloggers from coast to coast share their coping skills, inventive business ideas and humorous moments from their lives.

Then there’s the story of the women who started the site…worthy of a Transitions episode in itself. The four are actresses who, not ready to abandon their careers because of the industry’s obsession with youth, decided to take the wheel themselves and form this fascinating website, where they produce quality material with and for women over 40. They believe that the entertainment industry has a profound effect in shaping how society views women over 40. They also believe that their website has the potential to change the world view of older women by revealing the vibrant, dynamic lives that women over 40 are leading. Click on their site and see what they’re up to: http://www.inthetrenchesproductions.com .
