Indie and alternative rock fans are counting down the days to the sold-out 11th annual FYF Fest, which will be headlined by Phoenix and The Strokes with additional performances from more than 60 singers and groups during the two-day festival.
For the first time, FYF Fest will take place at The LA Sports Arena and Exposition Park in downtown Los Angeles on the weekend of Aug. 23 and 24.
The festival, produced in association with Goldenvoice, will feature indoor and outdoor stages, offer expanded food options, and treat attendees to a one-of-a-kind festival experience.
Founded in 2003, FYF Fest began as a small, DIY festival at The Echo in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
It has since grown into one of the leading festival and concert promotions companies in Southern California.
FYF hosts a diverse range of artists from varied genres, while promoting discovery and aiming to keep admission affordable.
Last year, FYF Fest sold out the Los Angeles Historic State Park grounds for its 10th Anniversary, with 30,000 tickets sold for each day of the festival.
Since the festival’s beginnings, FYF Fest has hosted the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Death Grips, The Refused, M83, Descendents, Solange, Panda Bear, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Yo La Tengo, and many, many more.
