Oak + Fort
As Westfield Century City draws ever closer to its grand reopening in the fall, there’s been a gradual rollout of stores either opening or reopening at the mall over the last couple of months.
The latest new venture to open its doors at Westfield Century City is Oak + Fort the Vancouver-based clothing store that was initially established as an online-only store by married couple Min Kang and Arjuna Thiagarajah in 2010.
Oak + Fort is the second Canadian-based clothing store in the mall, situated opposite Aritzia.
Thiagarajah told the Hollywood Reporter they wanted to open a store at Westfield Century City after opening their boutique store with the Westfield Group in San Francisco in 2016. The Century City store will be Oak + Fort’s fifth location in the United States.
Ted Baker London
British fashion and accessories brand Ted Baker London has also opened at Westfield Century City, adding to its stores in Southern California, including those on Robertson Boulevard and at South Coast Plaza this month saw the opening of the latest Ted Baker London outpost – this one in the Westfield Century City mall. The newest Ted Baker shop is in addition to stand-alone stores on Robertson Boulevard as well as one at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
With almost 3,000-square-feet of space, the mall’s store was inspired by the Magic Castle in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Times.
“The design of each Ted Baker store is unique, with whimsical details inspired by the city the store is located in – perfectly pitched with some British culture,” said Craig Smith, brand communications director for Ted Baker. “All of these components create retail theater.”
