The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, Sustainable Works and the City of Santa Monica work together each year to produce the Sustainable Quality Awards (SQA). This year, its 17th year finds one of the region’s most prestigious green events honors The Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Healthy Spot at the 17th Annual Sustainable Quality awards hosted once again by Sheraton Santa Monica from 11am – 2pm on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012.

This year’s entertainment will be green with the Environmental Media Association joining LACarGuy and Morley Builders in celebrating local business achievement in economic development, social responsibility and stewardship of the environment.
Excellence and Grand Prize awards will be given at the luncheon program, and businesses will have an opportunity to network and be showcased during the receptions.
The May 2, 2012 begins at 11:00am with a reception with the program to follow at noon, followed immediately by
a dessert reception.
Participants will enjoy Sarah Backhouse, host of Discovery’s “Planet 100”, will return as emcee, along with a panel of speakers, including experts from local businesses & former SQA winners, and representatives from the EMA & their “Young Hollywood” Committee.
