Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries’ free Kever Avot Community Memorial Services on Sunday, September 12, 2010 will focus on the important lesson to “not stand idly†by while others suffer abuse and genocide when Janice Kamenir-Reznik, Co-Founder and President of Jewish World Watch, delivers the keynote presentation, bringing her message to alleviate suffering in Darfur and among other persecuted peoples. Scheduled to begin at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills at 10:00 A.M. and at Mount Sinai Simi Valley at 1:00 P.M., these one hour Jewish High Holiday Services augment a traditional time in Jewish life to visit the gravesites of loved ones. Mount Sinai invites community members to attend and worship, whether their loved ones are buried here or far away.

Giving added depth and meaning to Services at Simi Valley will be the display of Mount Sinai’s Shoah Quilts of Memory, dedicated to remembrance of the Holocaust.
