Three suspects were arrested the afternoon of Jan. 28 without incident after an alleged burglary in the West Valley ended in Century City, the Los Angeles Police Dept. media relations division stated.
No names were released nor any charges announced.
Originally, the LAPD were searching for four suspects, but announced Jan. 31 the three in custody were the only ones who were sought by law enforcement officials.
The LAPD set up a perimeter near the area of Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Glen at about 1:30 pm on Jan. 28 in Century City as they searched for the three individuals now in custody on suspicion of burglary.
According to an officer with the LAPD’s headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, one female suspect was arrested relatively quickly. Police officers set up a perimeter at Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Glen to search in search of three other suspects before realizing only two were on the loose.
At 12:25 pm on Jan. 28, an off-duty Sheriff’s deputy observed the alleged suspects jumping a wall from a house on the 20100 block of Clark Street in Woodland Hills, according to the LAPD.
The alleged suspects then reportedly escaped in a vehicle and eventually took the 405 Freeway southbound toward the Westside, where they exited the freeway at Wilshire Boulevard and traveling east.
Shortly after exiting, the alleged suspects reportedly pulled over and escaped from the vehicle near Century City.
The perimeter at Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Glen was active through most of last Tuesday afternoon as police officers search for suspects.
On Jan. 31, LAPD’s media representatives told the Century City News the matter is still pending. No announcement was made whether any charges would be filed, a court appearance was impending, or if bail was set for any of the suspects.
