On Friday, March 16, get ready to feast on a new type of Italian fare when Eddie Spaghetti, lead vocalist for the Supersuckers, rolls into El Segundo’s South Bay Customs for a night of raucous rock ‘n’ roll.
Spaghetti—who hails from Seattle, Washington (by way of Tuscon, Arizona)—and his band the Supersuckers have recorded with many artists including Steve Earl, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Willie Nelson—even appearing on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno†backing Nelson. They have toured with bands such as Social Distortion, Bad Religion, White Zombie and The Dwarves. The music is a mix of hard drivin’ county / rock and Spaghetti, with his outlaw swagger and throaty vocals, is a real crowd pleaser.
And while a motorcycle shop may seem like an unlikely venue for a gig, it’s actually a very cool hang. The space, with its deep wood tones, velvet curtains and graffiti art is a cross between an old world Hollywood cigar lounge and a modern day tattoo parlor, featuring hand crafted motorcycles, Day of the Dead art, a full retail line and an array of eclectic antiques. Owner Michael Schreiber is dedicated to providing his customers with quality product and the best service available, and says, “We take a great deal of pride in all of our work and treat every project as if it was one of our own. Whether it’s a simple service, custom upgrade or a ground up build.†The shop specializes in V-Twin parts, service and custom design.
Events are featured throughout the year with live music, art, hot rods, and of course, plenty of bikes.
