Kids ages four to ten join in on stage for a totally interactive afternoon of story-telling, sing-a-longs, crafts, face-painting, enactment of a fairytale, theatre games, refreshments and special surprise gifts in this delightful Santa Monica Playhouse Special Event for youngsters and their grown-ups, hosted by the gaily costumed Enchanted Fairytale Players.
Grandchildren coming for the weekend? Moms and Dads want to do something special to start off the New Year? Enchanted Fairytale Interactive Theatre is just the thing to give kids the chance to make new friends, improvise, make handicrafts, sing, dance, and act out the story, working with members of Actors’ Repertory Theatre, Santa Monica’s professional acting company, as they take over the Main Stage for 90 minutes of pure theatre fun. These events only
take place a few times during the year, so make your reservations right away.
Parents work as partners throughout this adorable acting adventure, taking an active role in all aspects of the program as everyone shares their personal perspectives on the day’s fairytale, plays fun games that develop the imagination, and works with crafts to create props which are used in the final presentation. Space is extremely limited and reservations are a must. With complimentary refreshments and a special gift for each participant, it’s the perfect event for the whole family to enjoy. Great for birthday parties, too!
Performances are on Sundays: January 15, 22 and 19 – 1:00pm to 2:30pm
