Ten Thousand, the 40-story luxury tower in Century City has officially begun leasing its pricey apartments that start at $8,500 per month. Residents are slated to start moving in sometime in January 2017.
As mentioned previously in Century City News, Ten Thousand will be the country’s most technologically advanced buildings, boasting a 60-person dedicated staff, along with delivery robots as well as a helipad on top of the building.
At the Future of Century City BisNow Conference held on Nov. 10, Vice President of Crescent Heights Roman Speron, told attendees, they wanted to create something “unique” to access the work, live, play aspect of the Century City/Beverly Hills border.
With this in mind, they created 283 penthouses, with the smallest units being 1,512 square feet all the way through 3,700 square feet.
Speron said there is already a waiting list for the apartments and the demographic is “this area, Century City and Beverly Hills,” he said. “You have to make three times the rent to live in the building. They are all two or three bedroom apartments, so you need to have a certain amount of income. We have a lot of partners and doctors and agents in this area,” he said.
With a park on the third floor, unobstructed views of the city and the walkability of Century City with the Westfield Mall and the nearby Beverly Hills shopping district, Serpon said, “We’re doing 12 month leases, they’re long-term private residences because we want to create a community here.”
He added that New York has properties like this but there’s nothing comparable in Los Angeles. Until now.
