The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles (Jewish Federation) and Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO) today announced a partnership for a new campaign raising awareness of the 50,000 Jewish Angelenos living in poverty and encouraging donations to the Jewish Federation.
The Jewish Federation, an organization founded on Jewish values, launched the campaign to elevate the struggles of low-income Jewish families. CCO has donated billboard space throughout the Los Angeles region to help draw more attention to the issue and reach additional audiences.
“We are deeply appreciative of the generous donation of billboard space by Clear Channel Outdoor in support of our Federation’s initiative to combat Jewish poverty in our community,” said Jay Sanderson, President & CEO of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. “As a nonprofit organization dedicated to utilizing our resources to directly impact tens of thousands of lives in Los Angeles, Israel, and around the world, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to reach a wider audience and increase awareness of our life-changing work.”
The images running on CCO’s billboards throughout the Los Angeles area urge Angelenos to donate and help The Jewish Federation bring aid to the 50,000 Jewish Angelenos living in poverty. CCO has committed to continuing its support for the effort, and is urging other businesses and residents to do the same. To spread the word and encourage local support, CCO is providing space on its digital and traditional billboards, as well as its poster signs, free of charge. The billboards and signs are spread throughout the Los Angeles area.
“Organizations like The Jewish Federation are a part of the Los Angeles fabric, it’s these organizations that give their all for those in need, enriching the lives of Angelenos on a daily basis,” said Layne Lawson, director of public affairs for Clear Channel Outdoor. “We know that the billboard messages will help to raise awareness of the scope of the problem and we encourage all those who are able to donate to this worthy cause.”
CCO regularly donates space on its digital and traditional signs in Southern California and throughout the nation to display public safety and public awareness messages. The unique ability of digital signs to reach a wide audience while displaying messages in real-time allows them to act as valuable resources for non-profit organizations, public safety agencies, law enforcement, and a variety of others who need to effectively relay messages to the public.
