The Sports Museum of Los Angeles will host Teen Impact Affiliates 2nd Annual Fall Fundraiser Nov. 9, this year’s event will showcase the world’s largest known collection of sports memorabilia.
The museum, which is closed to the general public is filled with collectibles and unique pieces from pinnacle moments in athletic history, all owned by LA businessman, Gary Cypres. Counted among the treasures are Babe Ruth’s 1934 uniform and Joe DiMaggio’s record-breaking ball from his legendary 56-game hitting streak.
Teen Impact Affiliates supports the Teen Impact Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
“We are honored to have the privilege of partnering with Mr. Cypres on this year’s fundraiser and host the event in such a magnanimous space,” said a Teen Impact Affiliates spokesperson.
“We hope the Sports Museum will help highlight the interests and goals of our organization by raising awareness and funds for our special program!”
Baseball legend Reggie Smith will be on hand and Beverly Hills’ Dr. Raffi Hovsepian is a major sponsor of the event.
