Max Greenfield, a star of the Fox Broadcasting comedy “New Girl,” will throw the ceremonial first pitch before tonight’s Los Angeles Dodgers-Philadelphia Phillies game at Dodger Stadium.
Greenfield’s first pitch toss coincides with a giveaway of bobbleheads depicting Dodger star pitcher Clayton Kershaw.
“New Girl” is Kershaw’s favorite television series and he made a cameo appearance on the episode that aired following the Super Bowl.
Former Dodger outfielders Al Ferrara and Billy Ashley will sign autographs in the left and field pavilion plaza areas respectively from 5-7:10 p.m.
The Veteran of the Game will be Marine Corps Capt. Vic Sanceda of La Puente. Sanceda enlisted in 2005 and is responsible for source staffing requirements for units deploying overseas and is the officer-in-charge of personnel affairs for division field exercises.
Sanceda’s accolades include a Combat Action Ribbon and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
All auto gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates at 5 p.m. for the 7:10 p.m. game.
