It’s MOLIÈRE’S THE FOOLS, a zany, romantic, ever-so-slightly naughty musical comedy mixed with liberal doses of intrigue, political satire and sword play or, as LA TIMES puts it, “Barnum & Bailey spiced with Monty Python.†And for two nights only, it’s FREE!
The Playhouse offers FREE TICKETS on Saturday and Sunday, August 18 & 19 for this delightfully saucy musical as part of its annual ALL JOIN IN FREE FESTIVAL OF THEATRE.
Presented in the Playhouse’s signature Commedia/Circus style, THE FOOLS asks the burning question, “Which are the bigger fools – those of us who play our foolish games upon the stage…or those of you who pay your hard earned francs to watch us do it?†But for two days only – Saturday, August 18 at 7:30pm and Sunday, August 19 at 6:30pm – you won’t have to pay a single centime to be entertained by renowned Actors’ Repertory Theatre in this internationally acclaimed Rudie-DeCarlo theatrical delight.
THE FOOLS currently plays weekends through September 30. Regular admission is $25. Reservations are a must. Last year’s FREE FESTIVAL was completely sold out the same day it was announced. The ALL JOIN IN FREE FESTIVAL OF THEATRE is sponsored in part by the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Arts Commission, Model Language Studio, the Cotkin Family and Playhouse PALS. “Quality entertainment! This play is not to be missed!†STARQUEST ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK.
