A longstanding debate has raged within the feminist movement over the source of women’s oppression and how to fight it.
The June meeting of Radical Women will examine the differences between socialist feminists who believe the capitalist economic system requires patriarchy and spawns violence against women, particularly women of color, and radical feminists who target a male, heterosexual, porn-centered culture as the source of gender inequality.
Join the debate on Thursday, June 14,2012 starting at 7:00pm at Solidarity Hall, 2122 W. Jefferson Blvd.
Summer supper, with vegetarian option, served at 6:30p.m. for an $8 donation.
