Silverado Senior Living invites families with a member challenged by memory loss for a FREE cooking class and lunch.
Studies show that maintaining a healthy body weight and balanced diet can help slow the symptoms of physical decline associated with Alzheimer’s and other memory-impairing diseases. In addition, engagement programs like cooking classes allow affected individuals to explore interests and maintain social activity.
These classes are an extension of Silverado’s unique approach that centers on nurturing the human spirit by promoting choice, connection and purposeful engagement with others.
The class, lunch and parking are all free. Classes begin Wednesday, May 23, 2012 11:00am — with lunch served at noon — at Silverado – Beverly Place, 330 N Hayworth Avenue in Los Angeles.
RSVP: Guests are highly encouraged to RSVP to BeverlyPlace@Silveradosenior.com.
