Joan Frei, senior vice president and director of business development for Nadel Architects, has been promoted to state program chairperson for the Southern California chapter of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC – the global trade association of the shopping center industry.). Frei will manage the overall annual calendar for the region, coordinating with local program and next generation chairs, as well as assisting with the development of new regional programs.
Frei has been a member of ICSC for over 15 years. Previous leadership roles within ICSC have led to her current appointment as Southern California state program chair, including Southern California local programs (May 2008) and Southern California program committee chair (May 2011).
In addition to her involvement with ICSC, Frei is on the advisory board for ACRE Southern California and is a past ACRE president. She is an active member of the legislative committee for CBPA, is active in CREW and ULI, and participates in many other real estate industry events.
