Join the Pace Makers – a national heart-health awareness initiative to empower the public on having a knowledgeable dialogue with a physician about pacemakers – will host an entertaining and educational event featuring campaign spokesperson and actress Debbie Allen. The event, sponsored in part by the National Council on Aging (NCOA), will combine dancing and educational activities. The evening includes:
•A personal appearance and greeting from famed actress, dancer and Join the Pace Makers national spokesperson, Debbie Allen
•A physician-led presentation about slow heartbeats, and where to find information about available treatment options, including a pacemaker
•Details about the first and only pacemaker option that allows access to an MRI
•Music and dancing!
This event is FREE and open to the public and will take place at Assistance League Hollywood Sr. Center/Griffith Park Adult Community Center 3203 Riverside Drive in Los Angeles 1:00pm-3:00pm on February 15, 2012.
