Explore your creative side and get your body moving in these unique-to-the-Playhouse FREE ACTING WORKSHOPS for all ages. Part II of the Playhouse’s 24-month 50th Anniversary celebration will be inaugurated with a 14-day FREE FESTIVAL OF THEATRE, July 4 through 17, with FREE acting workshops for all ages taught by Playhouse Co-Artistic Directors Chris DeCarlo and Evelyn Rudie, and Associate Director Serena Dolinsky.
Learn to channel your energy and emotions to create honest performances, find your artist’s voice, and walk away feeling free and empowered. The workshops are open to any experience level, and we encourage new-comers to give it a try! You might be hooked. Four dynamic sessions, two in the afternoon and two in the evening, to fit every schedule, will allow participants to explore personal objectives and gain a better understanding of peers, seniors and “juniors,†as they play in a working theatre with professional artists and are introduced to the creative process, discovering new ways to interact. Each 90 minute workshop culminates in a mini-performance.
