Make a site-specific performance with Choreographer in Residence Holly Rothschild. Participants will record their impressions of the Beach House, learn some dance vocabulary and “body tools” to use in the composition process, and be assigned specific tasks culminating in a short original performance and discussion. The workshop is appropriate for all ages from teens to seniors; no dance experience required, and a diversity of age, experience, and physicalities are encouraged. Youth must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please come wearing comfortable clothing.

Rothschild continues her weekly open office hours at the Marion Davies Guest House in March. She will be available from 11am-1pm on Monday 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, and 3/29 in the Resident Office on the second floor. Members of the public are encouraged to ask questions about her project and process.
