Residents and visitors who have never had a chance to experience Santa Monica�s exquisite historical jewel, the Miles Memorial Playhouse, will have a perfect opportunity during the upcoming series �Fireside at the Miles�. The space has been transformed — we are striking the risers, putting in sofas, carpets and a coffee bar and orienting the space around the gorgeous period fireplace.
Between January 8th and February 6th, the Miles will offer fireside programming every Friday and Saturday night beginning at 8PM. Fridays feature an eclectic line-up of music, and on Saturday nights the Miles partners with local theater companies to present readings of Pulitzer Prize-winning American dramas.
Doors open at 7:00PM � Concerts and readings begin promptly at 8:00PM. Evenings end at 10:00PM.

February 5th � Adult and youth MCs and poets in a Night of Hip-Hop and Poetry.
February 6th � �Night Mother by Marsha Norman, read by the Virginia Avenue Project.
