In the year of the organizations 50th anniversary, the annual Wonderland Fund Raiser hosted by Los Angeles County Chapter of Childhelp will be an event to remember.
Event Chairman, Andrea Meyerhofer and all of the Los Angeles Chapter members invite guests to experience an afternoon of boutique shopping, exciting raffle prizes and a delicious luncheon, all in the hopes of helping to end child abuse and treat its victims.
Held at the beautiful Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, over twenty local vendors will offer great holiday gifts for sale in a shopping spree starting at 10:00am along with delectable treats from Santas Kitchen. A large portion of purchase proceeds go to benefit the residential treatment centers, foster care and group homes, advocacy centers and other on-going programs supported by Childhelp.
At 12:30pm, attendees will be treated to fabulous food and talented entertainment lead by Master of Ceremonies, Scott Mann. Robbie Britt and other surprise performers will entertain guests as they dine.
The annual Wonderland Fund Raiser is Los Angeles County Chapter of Childhelps largest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds from the event benefit Childhelps programs and services. The Childhelp Wonderland Fund Raiser will kick-off at 10:00 a.m. on December 7 at Millennium Biltmore Hotel located at 506 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90071. Tickets are $85 per person. About Childhelp
In 2009, Childhelp commemorated 50 years of bringing the light of hope and healing into the lives of countless children. CEO and Co-Founder Sara OMeara and President and Co-Founder Yvonne Fedderson started Childhelp in 1959, establishing it as a leading national non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect and at-risk children. Childhelps approach focuses on advocacy, prevention, treatment and community outreach.
The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD, operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and receives calls from throughout the United States, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. Childhelps programs and services also include residential treatment services; childrens advocacy centers; therapeutic foster care; group homes and child abuse prevention, education and training. Childhelp also created the Childhelp National Day of Hope, held each April during National Child Abuse Prevention Month, that mobilizes people across America to join the fight against child abuse.
