On May 12th attendees will have the chance to better understand the plight of those without site as they enjoy a gala evening in complete darkness.
The evening will honor, Mark S. Humayun, Ph.D., Professor of Ophthalmology, Biomedical Engineering and Cell & Neurobiology at Doheny Eye Institute of University of Southern California and philanthropists Marsha & Fred Wolinsky. Jon Wellner, Comedian & Actor “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,†emcees.
The lights will be turned off during the post-ceremony dinner so that guests can gain a firsthand understanding of some of the challenges facing the visually impaired.
