A perpetrator struck a Bel-Air resident on the afternoon of September 20 at the juncture of Bellagio and Chalon Roads. Suspects in a vehicle with five occupants pulled up next to the pedestrian victim. Two suspects exited the vehicle. While one suspect pulled a knife on the victim and demanded property, the other approached from behind. The suspect with the knife struck the victim and the second suspect reached into the victim’s pocket and took property.
In addition, a residential burglar has been busy in the vicinity. In the 11700 block of Bellagio Road, a suspect entered through an unlocked slider and stood over the elderly resident’s bed. A suspect with the same description entered a neighboring unit in the dwelling and claimed to be hiding from the police. The victim left after 45 minutes without removing property. The same suspect entered a single-family residence and was confronted by a resident; he stated that he needed the keys to her SUV and would not harm the suspect or her daughter. He took the keys and the vehicle, and then abandoned that to steal another vehicle from a neighbor.
