Both Alexandra Komisaruk and Sonja Schenk received their Masters of Fine Arts degrees in Film and Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in a year, Komisaruk assures me, is not worth noting.
Now, a ‘little’ later, while living on the westside of town, the former roommates reconnected to make a film which they shot in Los Angeles. Now, thanks to the Dances with Films Festival they will once again venture east of the 405 to premier their collaboration, “The Olivia Experiment” at the Hollywood Chinese Theater, 6801 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood on June 7, 2012 at 5:00pm.
The film, which stars Skye Noel, Kyle More, Brett Baumayr, Jen Lilley, Michelynne McGuire, Dan Gordon and Barbara Lee Bragg, is the story of Olivia a brilliant graduate student — and a virgin. The comedy chronicle’s Olivia’s awkward weekend of sexual experimentation as she tries to decide whether she is gay, straight or asexual.
