Former Brentwood resident O.J. Simpson is on trial for armed robbery in Las Vegas. Jury selection is under way for the trial for the trial of Simpson and his golfing partner Clarence C. J. Stewart for allegations
that Simpson, Stewart and four other men allegedly robbed sports memorabilia from vendors at gunpoint at a Las Vegas casino Hotel Room. Both Simpson and Stewart have pleaded not guilty to 12 charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, felony kidnapping, armed robbery and conspiracy. If convicted, Simpson may be facing life in prison.
District Court Judge Jackie Glass is trying to find jurors who can put aside the 1995 celebrity trial that ended in Simpson’s acquittal for the slaying of his ex-wife, Nicole Simpson.
