Why Super Bowl 2025 at Caesars Superdome Is a Must: NOLA’s Jazz, Food, Festivities, and the Big Game’s Unmatched Vibes
The Ultimate NOLA Experience
The Super Bowl returns to New Orleans in 2025 for the 11th time in the history of the big game. Caesars Superdome will play host to the tens of thousands of visitors that travel from all over the United States and even the world to witness the biggest annual sporting event in America.
This is the seventh time the Caesars Superdome will host the Super Bowl. Miami has the most Super Bowl hosts with 11, but with the big game returning to New Orleans in February, they will tie Miami for the most hosts since the inception of the Super Bowl.
Why do people go to New Orleans for the Super Bowl? There is a reason New Orleans has been chosen so many times, and it is because of the many things to do in New Orleans leading up to and after the big game. It is a city of rich culture and history, making it a perfect venue for tourism. These are the best Caesars Superdome events around the Super Bowl in 2025. Pack your bags and prepare your NFL predictions!
1. The Culture
New Orleans is famous for many things, but the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the city is jazz. Many famous musicians, like Buddy Bolden, Louis Armstrong, and King Oliver, all reign in Louisiana. The strong love for jazz is palpable throughout the city, creating an ambiance unique to New Orleans.
2. The Food
New Orleans is famous for Creole and Cajun cuisine. For all you foodies out there, like myself, a trip to New Orleans is worth it just for the cuisine. Gumbo, Jambalaya, and more make New Orleans cuisine unique and different from the usual palate of American food like burgers and pizza. Plus, New Orleans is famous for beignets, a powdered sugar-covered pastry, which is perfect for dessert.
3. Super Bowl Events
The NFL hosts many events during Super Bowl week around the place where it will be played. These start as early as the Monday before the game, with the Super Bowl opening night taking place on Monday, February 3rd, which celebrates the NFC and AFC champion teams as they arrive in the city. This is a unique experience, as it is the only public appearance for players and coaches before the game.
There is also the Super Bowl experience, which has current and former NFL meet-and-greets, Super Bowl memorabilia, games, and more. There are even more events hosted by the NFL all week, with something to do each day leading up to the big game.
4. Nightlife
The party isn’t just on Sunday night. New Orleans is famous for its nightlife, with the streets alive with music and people long into the night. The nightlife is lively in the city with jazz clubs, bars, and other live music. One can only imagine it will be dialed up a notch for Super Bowl weekend as well.
5. Festivals
One of the most famous festivals in America, Mardi Gras, takes place right in New Orleans. While the festival itself will be a month after the Super Bowl, the city will be preparing and alive with the spirit of the festival with so much tourism coming through for the Super Bowl.
There are other festivals going on during Super Bowl week, though, such as the Louisiana Culture Festival, featuring a cultural celebration of Louisiana. This includes jazz performances, cooking and dancing, and even basket-weaving. This festival takes place the Friday and Saturday before the Super Bowl and is free to attend.
6. The Halftime Show
The Super Bowl 2025 halftime show will be performed by none other than Kendrick Lamar. Lamar has been in the spotlight this year even more than usual because of his feuds with Drake, and this Super Bowl halftime show should be one to remember.
I expect Lamar will also have a star-studded cast of guest appearances along with him, much like how he guest appeared during the 2022 halftime show. Who doesn’t love a free concert if you’re already paying an arm and a leg to attend the Super Bowl?
7. The Big Game
The most obvious reason is the game itself. Attending a Super Bowl is on many people’s bucket list, including mine. It’s an experience to remember for a lifetime, and the week-long event leading up to the game is just as much of an experience as the game itself.
8. How Many Spectators Attend the Super Bowl?
The Super Bowl had an attendance of 61,629 in Las Vegas last year, and the turnout for New Orleans in 2025 is expected to be even bigger. There’s no question why New Orleans will be tied for the most Super Bowl hosts after this year, as the city is full of rich culture and things to do and see. It is one of the most unique cities in the United States and is a must-visit, especially for the Super Bowl.
