Popular Vegan eatery Real Food Daily closed its doors on Santa Monica Blvd. for good Wednesday night. The 24-year-old city stalwart said goodbye via email. Rumors have it that the establishment is shuttering following at lease issue with their landlord.
Restaurant owner Ann Gentry issued this statement:
To our loyal customers:
With a heavy heart, I announce the last day of business at our Santa Monica restaurant. Wednesday, April 27th will be our final day serving Real Food Daily in our original Santa Monica location.
We are planning to re-open in a new Santa Monica location next year so stay subscribed to our email list.
In the meantime, we look forward to serving you Real Food Daily in West Hollywood, Pasadena and LAX.
Thank you for your support and patronage these past 24 wonderful years. It has been an extraordinary journey. I cherish the rich experiences, bonds and relationships I made with many of you in Santa Monica and look forward to continuing the journey.
Together, we achieved my mission of raising the standards and expectations of Vegan restaurants. Thank you for being part of it.
