Macerich (NYSE: MAC), a leading owner, operator and developer of major retail properties, announces that in conjunction with Santa Monica Place, will support the Special Olympics World Games 2015 in Los Angeles by providing full support to the delegation of athletes and team members representing the Republic of Seychelles – the 115-island archipelago nation located in the Indian Ocean. Santa Monica Place is a Host Town Title Sponsor for the countries of Brazil and Romania. The all-open-air shopping and dining destination, will join with Third Street Promenade to welcome the Brazilian and Romanian teams for shopping and hospitality. Santa Monica Place invites the media to attend a special event on July 23 at3:30pm on the third-level Dining Deck with athletes and representatives from Brazil and Romania, as well as City of Santa Monica leadership.
