A fire caused by a faulty heater resulted in about $20,000 in damage today to a house near the Sepulveda Pass, but no one was hurt, authorities said.
Firefighters sent to the 15500 block of Aqua Verde Drive about 6 a.m. extinguished the flames in 27 minutes, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire ran up a wall from the first floor to the second floor and attic of the structure, Scott said.
