International Holocaust Remembrance Day is approaching. January 27th to be precise. In January of 1938, Margo Schragenheim, a 17 year old living in Hamburg, saw a Fascist tidal wave approaching. With uncanny clarity she realized that her beautiful city and beloved country were changing and that Fascism would likely bring danger and death to any Jew who remained. Sadly, her premonition became stark realitybut not for her.
With single-minded determination, Margo was able to outrun the blitzkrieg. The adventures that followed her momentous decision to leave Hamburg are simply extraordinary. She remembers them all in vivid detail in her memoir A Voyage Through Time.
At 90, Margo still travels, plays bridge three times a week and takes a moment every day to give thanks that she was able to see the writing on the wall Juden Sind Hier Nicht Erweunscht!.
Please consider featuring this delightful woman in your magazine. Her indomitable spirit is as strong today as it was 70 years ago. Schedule a conversation with her and see for yourself.

FROM PERSECUTION TO PROSPERITY. CONFESSIONS OF
AN 89 YEAR OLD TOUR DE FORCE!
Margo Young listened to Hitlers rants on her parents radio and knew she had to leave family, home and country.
In 1939, a teenager living a comfortable life in Hamburg read Mein Kampf. The 17 year old saw danger on the horizon and told her parents it was time to go. They refused. So she acquired a copy of the New York City phone directory and wrote personal pleas to every person with the same last name as her maternal and paternal grandmother. We were required to have sponsors. I supposed there was at least one distant relative living in the biggest city in the world.
Thus, Margo Young began an odyssey that took her from Hamburg to Southampton to Ellis Island to Toledo tothe list goes on and on. Along the way she met her husband, built a successful business and discovered that life really is an adventure. She chronicles the escapades, challenges, fears and overwhelming joys in her delightful memoir, A Journey Through Time.
In an enlightening and entertaining interview, Young will discuss:
 The rise of fascism in Germany and her personal account of the fear and persecution felt by Die ganzen Juden.
 Starting from scratch in a strange land with $125 in her pocket and a meager understanding of the language and culture.
 Meeting her husband and building a successful international import/export business.
 The real secret to a long, happy and passionate life.
There are few adults in their 90th year who recall with such precision and clarity the momentous events in their livesespecially when the events occurred during the most dramatic and tumultuous episode of the 20th century. Ms. Young is an erudite and compelling speaker and is available for interview and commentary.
Please dont hesitate to schedule a conversation.
